AURORA, Colo. (AP) - A man killed by a campus police officer on the Anschutz Medical Center Campus is a University of Colorado Hospital employee who recently resigned.
The unidentified man was killed Wednesday night.
Aurora police said they got calls about a suicidal man in the hospital parking lot. When they tried to contact the man, he took off in an SUV.
The chase ended a short time later and the man was shot and killed.
Hospital spokesman Dan Weaver said the man recently resigned from his job and his last day was to be March 28.
Aurora police are investigating the shooting.
