CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) - Illinois’ second-rate National Invitation Tournament game will get off to an early start Sunday.
Clemson announced Thursday that the game will start at 10 a.m. Central Time at the South Carolina school’s Littlejohn Coliseum. The game will be televised on ESPN.
Second-seed Illinois (20-14) advanced to the second round of the NIT with a 66-62 win over Boston University Wednesday.
Third-seeded Clemson (21-12) moved into the second round by beating Georgia State 78-66 on Tuesday.
The Illini will play on the road as they keep winning because of renovation at the State Farm Center. But the Illini have now won four straight games, all away from home.
