NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - Carnival Cruise Lines is returning to Norfolk next year with a new ship.
Carnival announced Thursday that the 3,006-passenger Carnival Splendor will begin operating from Norfolk in May 2015.
The program includes cruises to Bermuda and the Bahamas.
Carnival had said last October that it would not deploy the Carnival Glory or another ship from Norfolk in 2014. The Carnival Glory had been seasonally homeported in Norfolk since 2001.
