Former safety and football analyst Darren Sharper was fired by the NFL Network Friday after he was arrested for allegedly drugging and raping several women.
Sharper surrendered to L.A. authorities late Thursday after New Orleans police announced they had obtained an arrest warrant. He has been charged with drugging and raping two women in L.A. and faces two counts of aggravated rape of two different women in New Orleans, the New York Daily News reported.
He’s also under investigation for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting females in Tempe, Ariz., Las Vegas and Miami Beach, Fla.
NFL Network suspended Sharper without pay on Jan. 18 following an arrest for drug possession. The other charges have come forth since that arrest.
If convicted in the L.A. case, Sharper could face more than 30 years behind bars. He faces a life sentence without the possibility of parole in the New Orleans case if convicted, the Daily News reported.
