PARIS (AP) - France coach Didier Deschamps called up Josuha Guilavogui on Sunday to replace Rio Mavuba in the squad that will face the Netherlands in a friendly on Wednesday.
Lille captain Mavuba picked up a left thigh injury in Sunday’s 3-2 win over Ajaccio in the French league and came off the pitch after 30 minutes.
Saint-Etienne midfielder Guilavogui has five caps and last played for France in the 4-2 win over Belarus in September 2013. He shone in his team’s 2-0 win over Monaco on Saturday.
