OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Boxer Terence Crawford is bringing the WBO lightweight title home to Omaha.

Crawford defeated Ricky Burns in Scotland Saturday to capture the title. He is the first Nebraskan to win a boxing title since Perry “Kid” Graves claimed the welterweight belt in 1914.

Crawford defeated Burns in a unanimous decision after 12 rounds.

Crawford remains unbeaten in 23 professional bouts with 16 knockouts. He will likely defend his title for the first time later this year.
