A New Jersey man enamored with Phil Robertson’s Christian messages hopped in his car and drove about 20 hours to the “Duck Dynasty” star’s Church of Christ in Louisiana, just so he could be baptized by the family patriarch.

Mr. Robertson — who not only stars in the reality show, but also makes time to preach — was more than agreeable to oblige, The Blaze reported.

“I can count on one hand the people I met from New Jersey,” Mr. Robertson said, telling the White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ congregation about Brian Richards’ journey.

Video captures Mr. Robertson then telling Mr. Richards: “You are now going to die to sin. You’re going to be buried — the old you — and the new one will come forth. God will seal you with his spirit, and you will be guaranteed to be raised from the dead one day and live forever. Good news, you know?”

Mr. Robertson is the family elder on the popular, Christian-based television reality show, “Duck Dynasty.”
