BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - State police say a fired Connecticut Department of Correction employee has been charged with threatening.
Authorities say 28-year-old Christopher Anello of Norwalk was charged Wednesday with threatening and breach of peace. Police say after he was terminated from his job earlier in the day it was brought to the attention of the Department of Correction that threats were made.
State police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance says the threat was verbal but had no further details.
Telephone messages left with a spokesman for the correction department and Anello were not immediately returned.
A Bridgeport Superior Court official says Anello was released on a promise to appear. He’s due back in court on April 1 on the misdemeanor charges.
