TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida Gov. Rick Scott is sticking with the state’s only team competing in the 2014 NCAA tournament.
Scott released his tournament bracket Tuesday afternoon, and he has the No. 1-seeded Florida Gators winning it all. The governor also picked Florida State to defeat Auburn in the BCS football championship game.
Scott has Florida beating Michigan 60-54 in the final game. His Final Four includes the Gators, Wolverines, Cincinnati Bearcats and Wisconsin Badgers. Cincinnati is the biggest surprise to reach the semifinals.
Scott’s most significant upsets are No. 14 seed N.C. Central beating No. 3 seed Iowa State in the first round and No. 5 seed Oklahoma beating No. 1 seed Arizona in the Sweet Sixteen.
