China has jumped aboard the search bandwagon for the missing Malaysia jetliner, deploying its own stash of satellites — 21 of them — and scouring its own territories for debris.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei declined to give the specific locations of the search, NBC News reported.
But government-run media in China said the search would focus at the outset on the northern corridor, where the plane may actually have flown.
Roughly two-thirds of those on board the craft were Chinese — but China vehemently denied that any took part in the plane’s disappearance, which occurred more than a week ago.
