The latest push on Obamacare to the American people is a video spot from the White House released Monday that takes advantage of the March Madness basketball season and cites the “16 Sweetest Reasons to Get Covered.”

The theme is a play off the Sweet 16 round of the college basketball event.

The video will include the president and two college coaches, not yet named, as they run down the top 16 reasons to jump aboard Obamacare, Breitbart reported.

The ad is set to show on ESPN on Wednesday, when Mr. Obama unveils his basketball bracket — and makes a simultaneous pitch for Americans to enroll in the government-run health care exchanges, Breitbart said.

The White House hopes the video spot will convince the 300,000-plus who log onto the government website to view the president’s bracket — the number who visited WhiteHouse.gov last year to see Mr. Obama’s picks — to hurry and enroll.

Meanwhile, the White House has brought out the sports theme for other Obamacare pushes, too. In the next couple weeks, NBC star LeBron James is appearing several spots on TNT, ABC and ESPN to sell the health care reform.

In the ad, he says: “Hi, I’m LeBron James. I know how important it is to take care of yourself, your friends and your family. That’s why I wanted to tell you about the health insurance marketplace at HealthCare.gov. You can go there to find an affordable health plan as part of the health care law. The deadline to enroll is March 31. So sign up now,” Breitbart reported.
