SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Salt Lake City Police say they recovered a stolen car with about 10 minutes Sunday morning.

Lt. Scott White says officers were called around 9 a.m. to a report of a possible carjacking at 500 East and 300 South.

A witness reported seeing a man with a gun approach two other men as they got in their car. After a short conversation, they drove off with the armed man in the back seat.

The witness reported several items had been left on the roof of the car because they left quickly.

White says an officer found the car about a block away about 10 minutes later and found the suspect soon after.

The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/1qJvt72 ) the man was carrying identifications for the two other men.

Police are still investigating and have not released any names.
