SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah’s Democratic and Republican parties are holding neighborhood caucus meetings this week to choose local delegates and leadership and discuss election issues and candidates.
The Utah Democratic Party is hold caucus meetings Tuesday, March 18 throughout the state around 7 p.m. The Utah Republican Party’s caucus meetings will take place across Utah on Thursday, March 20 at 7 p.m.
The neighborhood meetings are part of Utah’s unique caucus and convention system for nominating candidates for political office.
Neighborhood delegates selected this week will vote on party positions and candidates for political office at the parties’ nominating conventions later this spring.
Both parties are holding their annual nominating conventions on April 26.
