HOT SPRINGS,Ark. (AP) - Megan Hartness scored 27 points and pulled down 11 rebounds Saturday to lift Greenwood to a 64-49 victory over Little Rock Parkview in the Arkansas Class 6A title game.
Lundon Williams and Haleigh Henson each added 16 for Greenwood (27-6). Jalyn Davis scored 16 for the Patriots (15-13). Christyal Holloway and Saudha Davey added 10 each.
Greenwood held a 15-point lead in the second quarter but Parkview cut the lead to three, at 47-44, with 1:20 left in the third quarter on Davis’ steal and layup. Henson countered with a 3 moments later, off Williams’ assist, and the Patriots never pulled within seven in the fourth quarter.
Greenwood scored 21 points off Parkview’s 16 turnovers and also made 19 of 24 free throws. Parkview was 8-of-15 from the line.
