JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Jahshire Hardnett scored 30 points, Dimitri Cook added 11 and had eight rebounds as Gulfport edged Grenada 64-59 to win the Class 6A boys state championship on Saturday night.

Gulfport (32-3) led 31-22 at halftime and pushed that advantage to 46-30 midway through the third quarter, but Grenada stormed back and took a 57-56 lead on a pair of free throws by Trevaris Spencer with 1:50 remaining.

Gulfport’s Jonathan Floyd made two free throws to push the Admirals back into the lead at 60-59 with 47 seconds left. Grenada turned it over on the ensuing possession and Gulfport made enough free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.

Grenada (23-12) was led by Joniah White’s 15 points and 17 rebounds. The Chargers outrebound Gulfport 40-28.
