HURON, S.D. (AP) - Sanborn Central-Woonsocket’s Shelby Selland took control Friday with 34 points and 11 rebounds as the Blackhawks beat Hanson 67-46 in the semifinals of the South Dakota Class B girls basketball tournament.

Selland made 15 of 23 shots from the field for the Blackhawks (24-1), who are in the state tournament for the third straight year of the co-op. Selland was the only Sanborn Central-Woonsocket player in double figures.

Kynedi Cheeseman poured in 19 points for Hanson (22-3). She made 10 of 11 free throws.

Hanson was outscored 19-3 in the second quarter and never recovered.
