PHOENIX (AP) - One person is in custody and two others are sought in the wake of shots being fired at two Phoenix police officers during a Friday morning traffic stop.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson says the officers pulled over a vehicle with three people inside. He says a man in the back seat put on a mask, got out of the vehicle and fired at the officers.

Thompson says neither officer was injured and that the officers didn’t have a chance to return fire.

He says the woman driving the vehicle was taken into custody.
