NEW YORK (AP) - The mayor says New York City will provide support “every step of the way” for those affected by the East Harlem explosion.
Mayor Bill de Blasio spoke Friday after touring a shelter for those displaced by the disaster.
He says people who’ve lost their homes and possessions expressed gratitude - especially for the safety of their children.
De Blasio says they’ve “been through the unspeakable” but are still displaying a “fortitude” that he admires.
