Rep. Marcy Kaptur, Ohio Democrat, said Friday that GOP leaders in the House need to act on a Ukraine sanctions and aid package as soon as possible.
“This is a time when we need to be united as Americans, when we go beyond our borders, especially in a situation like this where Russia is behaving badly, we need to be united,” the co-chair of the Ukranian Caucus said on MSNBC. “The Republican leadership in the House need to get their act together as soon as possible.”
She commended Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, for his floor speech Thursday urging his GOP colleagues not to block a Ukraine aid package, and also applauded his trip this weekend to Kiev.
