Twitter, the social media giant, crashed for a time on Tuesday — the second glitch that shuttered its operations in the last nine days, the New York Post reported.
The site went down for about an hour, leaving 250 million users in the dark. The company, Twitter Inc., meanwhile, sent out a mea culpa: We’ve suffered “unexpected complications” while undergoing a “planned deploy in one of our core services,” the New York Post reported.
The outage took place at the same time Twitter co-founder Biz Stone was on stage in Texas to speak about the successes and growth of his company, the New York Post reported.
On March 2, and while experiencing large traffic from the Academy Awards, Twitter crashed for a brief period. The overwhelming traffic came in large part from repostings of the now-famous selfie of Ellen DeGeneres, surrounded by Hollywood notables.
