NEW YORK (AP) - Mayor Bill de Blasio has told emergency responders at the deadly East Harlem blast that he admires the work they’re doing.
De Blasio and other city officials meet with some of the workers Thursday after getting a tour of the destruction.
The mayor told about a dozen firefighters he could only imagine how difficult it was “that at any moment you might find a body.”
He told them “I admire the work you guys do. … it’s not easy.”
