EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - A person familiar with the negotiations says the New York Giants have reached an agreement with fullback Henry Hynoski on a one-year contract.

The $1 million deal was reached Thursday afternoon, said the person, who asked not to be identified because the team had not announced the move.

Hynoski made the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh in 2011 and was a member of their Super Bowl team. After suffering a knee injury in the veterans’ minicamp in June last year, Hynoski had his season cut short by a shoulder injury in the third game of the regular season. He caught one pass for 5 yards.

Hynoski became an unrestricted free agent recently after the Giants refused to tender him a contract. He spoke with the Detroit Lions on Wednesday before rejoining the Giants.
