JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - The state says it has reached a tentative agreement on a three-year contract with the Public Safety Employees Association.

Financial terms of the contract are subject to approval by union membership and the Alaska Legislature.

The Department of Administration says the agreement includes a wage increase of 1 percent effective July 1, with another 1 percent increase effective a year later and a 2 percent increase effective July 1, 2016.

Among the other provisions are a reduction of personal leave accrual rates for employees hired on or after July 1, and a cap on personal leave accrual.
