SAN DIEGO (AP) - Former Pittsburgh Steelers tight end David Johnson has signed a two-year contract with the San Diego Chargers.

Johnson spent the last five seasons with Pittsburgh after being taken in the seventh round of the 2009 draft. He played in 52 games with 26 starts, totaling 22 catches for 216 yards and a touchdown.

He was limited to just five games the last two seasons, with two starts. He missed the entire 2012 season with a knee injury and missed 11 games last season due to a wrist injury.
