WOODBURY, N.J. (AP) - The mother of a New Jersey teenager who strangled a girl says she should not be held liable for damages in a lawsuit filed.
In court papers filed last week, Anita Saunders says her son and ex-husband should be responsible for any damages awarded in the suit filed by the father of the slain girl.
Justin Robinson pleaded guilty last year to the 2012 strangulation death of 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale in Clayton, the Philadelphia-area town where both children lived.
Robinson is now 17.
The teen’s father, Alonzo Robinson, has not responded to the lawsuit from Anthony Pasquale. Pasquale claims Justin Robinson’s parents should have known he “posed a risk to third parties.”
The mother’s court filing was reported by the Courier-Post (https://on.cpsj.com/1kLPoB1 ).
