New York City firefighters are on the scene of a possible building collapse in Harlem, according to several news outlets.
East Harlem residents reported hearing a large explosion in an apartment building at East 116th Street and Park Avenue about 9:30 a.m., a local ABC News affiliate reported.
Fire was reported in the building, and witnesses reported seeing what appeared to be at least a partial roof collapse, the station said.
Images from the scene show a roaring fire and smoke billowing high above the complex.
At least two deaths and more than a dozen injuries have been reported.
