DENVER (AP) - Vestas Wind Systems says it is hiring more than 850 production workers at its four Colorado plants this year.
The company said Tuesday that hiring will be done at its blade factory in Windsor, its blade and nacelle factories in Brighton and its tower factory in Pueblo.
The Denver Post reports (https://bit.ly/PpXeDD ) that the company says it has already filled 400 of the positions. The positions are considered temporary with the opportunity to be hired as regular Vestas employees.
Chris Brown is president of Vestas’ sales and service division in the United States and Canada.
Brown says in a statement that the company will be busy filling new orders through at least 2015.
In 2013, Vestas booked orders for nearly 900 turbines.
