EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - A southern Indiana judge has instructed prosecutors to ask the father of a man killed in crash while fleeing a burglary to stop posting comments on Facebook about the case of a man charged with murder in his death.

Ira Beumer of Evansville is facing charges of murder, attempted murder and aggravated battery stemming from a car chase that began after being robbed at gunpoint in his home by four men. Authorities say the chase ended when Beumer rear-ended the men’s car, killing 22-year-old Antuan Jenkins.

His father, Steve Jenkins of Milwaukee, has made Facebook posts urging others to join him at the trial. The Evansville Courier & Press reports (https://bit.ly/1isLzfs ) he also wrote of Beumer: “U Owe Yo Life, Ira that time is Comin.”

The trial begins next week.
