JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - Bridger-Teton National Forest officials say they have accepted a $12 million bid for a 10-acre property the U.S. Forest Service has had on the market in Jackson.
Forest officials aren’t identifying the buyer but say it is an “entity with local ties.”
The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports (https://bit.ly/1fplfnH ) news of the deal comes four months after a previous purchase deal fell through.
Forest officials plan to use the sale proceeds to replace an administrative building located on a 5-acre tract next to the parcel up for sale.
The Forest Service plans to begin constructing the new administrative building in 2015.
