SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - New York City real estate mogul Donald Trump is set to head upstate for a Republican Party event.

The reality TV star is scheduled to be in Syracuse Tuesday for a $100-per-person reception arranged by the Onondaga County Republican Committee.

Several GOP county leaders have been courting Trump to challenge Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in November. Trump hasn’t ruled out a run but has been quiet on the subject in recent weeks. He’s said repeatedly that he doesn’t want to be involved in a primary.

Last week, Republican Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino declared his candidacy for governor.

Supporters of Trump see him as having the name recognition and money needed to successfully challenge Cuomo.
