WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina congressman is sponsoring an event to help military veterans find resources that can help them in their daily lives.

U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson is holding Monday’s event at the Brookland Baptist Church Health and Wellness Center in West Columbia.

The event’s participants include representatives from the Social Security Administration, the South Carolina National Guard, the SC Works employment agency, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Lexington Medical Center. Support groups such as Hidden Wounds and Honor Flight SC are also attending.

The session runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
