BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - The Department of Marine Resources within months of signing a contract with the firm that conducted a 60-day review of the agency last year has more than doubled the amount of money the agency will pay.
DMR signed a contract in October with Horne LLP for grant and accounting management assistance, according to documents on the state’s transparency site. Those documents say the contract is worth $100,000.
However, an internal DMR memo on Jan. 17 said the contract amount will be increased to $250,000.
The contract expires at the end of the fiscal year on June 30.

She says most of the work is accounting.
