NEW YORK (AP) - Kenneth Ortiz scored 18 points, and Marcus Burton added 15, as Wagner hung on to beat Robert Morris 59-48 in a battle of the two top teams in the Northeast Conference on Saturday.

Wagner (18-11, 12-4) trailed by 10 with 9:09 left in the first half but went on a 21-3 tear. Robert Morris (19-12, 14-2) made just one of its final 14 shots before halftime and trailed 30-22 at the break.

The Colonials cut their deficit to four with 2:19 left in the game after an 8-0 run, all by Karvel Anderson - on pair of 3-pointers and two free throws, but Wagner responded with a three-point play by Mario Moody then scored the final six points of the game to seal the win.

Robert Morris shot just 27 percent from the floor, including 6 of 27 beyond the arc, and was led by Anderson’s 21 points.
