LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - James White scored 20 points Saturday night and led a second-half rally to lift the University of Arkansas-Little Rock over rival Arkansas State 74-67.
Ben Dillard and Mareik Isom scored 11 apiece, DeVonte Smith added 10, and UALR (14-15, 9-8 Sun Belt) ended Arkansas State’s three-game winning streak.
The lead traded hands four times until Cameron Golden hit three consecutive treys, putting Arkansas State (17-10, 9-6) up 24-22 and sparking a 14-2 run that gave the Red Wolves a 32-28 halftime lead.
Smith capped a 9-1 UALR run for a 39-38 lead in the second half, but the lead flip-flopped eight more times until White hit a jumper and UALR scored five unanswered points to lead 61-56 at 3:57. Ben Dillard kept the Trojans ahead 66-61 with a three-point play and UALR pulled ahead.
Golden led Arkansas State with 15 points, Brandon Reed scored 13, and Kendrick Washington added 11.
