LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) - The Detroit Tigers have agreed to terms with eight players on contracts for the 2014 season: right-handers Melvin Mercedes and Bruce Rondon, left-handers Jose Alvarez and Ian Krol, catcher Bryan Holaday, and infielders Steve Lombardozzi, Francisco Martinez and Hernan Perez.

Detroit announced the moves Saturday. The Tigers now have every player on their 40-man roster under contract for the 2014 season.

Detroit acquired Krol and Lombardozzi in the offseason in the deal that sent Doug Fister to Washington, and the Tigers still have high hopes for Rondon after he posted a 3.45 ERA in 30 relief appearances as a rookie in 2013.
