CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - Laurent Rivard scored 21 points Saturday night and sank 6 of 8 3-pointers as Harvard routed Columbia 80-47.

Steve Moundou-Missi scored 16, Kyle Casey and Wesley Saunders had 10 apiece, and Harvard (24-4, 11-1 Ivy League) shot 60 percent (27 of 45) to Columbia’s 34.1 percent (15 of 44). Saunders had seven assists and went 6 of 6 from the free-throw line.

Moundou-Missi sparked Harvard’s opening 20-4 run with a free throw and a jumper and Rivard capped it with back-to-back 3-pointers. The Crimson led 32-15 at 4:04 and held a 39-26 halftime advantage.

Harvard used runs of 11-3 and 9-2 to build a 26-point second-half lead and continued to pull away on two treys by Rivard and dunks by Saunders and Moundou-Missi.

Harvard had 17 assists to Columbia’s eight and out-rebounded the Lions 27-22.

Jeff Coby led the Lions (18-11, 7-5) with 11 points and Alex Rosenberg added 10.
