OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Steve Forbes scored 21 points, including two free throws with three-tenths of a second left, to lift IPFW to a 96-95 overtime victory over Omaha on Saturday and secure the No. 2 seed for Summit League tournament.

Forbes, fouled by John Karhoff on a 3-point attempt, made the first two free throws for the victory. The Mastadons (22-9, 10-4) got a basket by Pierre Bland with 4 seconds left to cut Omaha’s lead to one and a turnover gave the ball back to IPFW.

In regulation, a 3-pointer by the Mavericks’ Devin Patterson with 2.7 seconds left triggered overtime.

Luis Jacobo scored 20 points and Pierre Bland and Joe Edwards added 18 apiece for IPFW. Bland also had 10 assists.

Marcus Tyus scored 21 points and CJ Carter 20 to lead five Omaha (16-14, 5-9) players in double figures.

IPFW finished with its best Summit League record.
