DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - A $2 million gift from an alumnus of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business is helping to provide fund scholarships and identify talent in China.

The gift will create a scholarship program for highly qualified Chinese and international undergraduate students attending the Global Learning Semester at Duke Kunshan University. The program offers a one-semester, liberal arts-style learning experience in China for undergraduates currently enrolled at other universities in China and around the world, and leads to Duke University course credit.

In addition, the gift will underwrite partnerships with leading Chinese universities that will sponsor select students to attend the DKU semester program.

The donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, is identified by Duke University as a Chinese citizen and permanent U.S. resident who supports primary and secondary education.
