Mirth Provisions, a Washington-based company, is putting a new product on the local market aimed at capturing the marijuana smoking crowd: A new coffee beverage that’s infused with cannabis.

It’s called “Legal,” aptly enough, given the state’s recent passage of laws that allow for recreational smoking of marijuana, Fox News reported.

The beverage creator, Adam Stites, said to the local My Northwest news site that each bottle will have about 20 milligrams of THC — enough for “an alert, creative high,” he said. At the same time, those who aren’t steady pot smokers won’t become so overwhelmed by the drug that they can’t function, he added.

It’s “especially for people that are just getting into marijuana,” he said, Fox News reported.

Mirth Provisions puts out on its website that their new coffee drink is “mighty refreshing poured over ice or just sipped straight from the bottle. Knock one back with your compadres and take on the day with smooth buzz and a grin a mile wide.”

Next up for the company: Sodas and sparkling drinks in fruit flavors, also infused with cannabis.
