Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat who has made a name for herself for her consumer advocacy, scored a $525,000 advance for her latest book, “A Fighting Chance.”
Mrs. Warren has been touring the country to promote the book and has repeatedly batted down talk of a possible presidential run in 2016.
The Hill also reports that Mrs. Warren, a former Harvard University professor, hauled in more than $60,500 in royalties for seven textbooks she authored or contributed to between 1985 and 2000.
Financial disclosure forms do not state the royalty rates for the most recent book, the paper reported, only that the “advance and royalties [are] based on customary and usual terms.”
