Perhaps President Obama’s touted speaking skills are waning? Secretary of State John Kerry was caught taking a nap during the president’s recent presser in Warsaw — and National Security Adviser Susan Rice wasn’t exactly paying full attention, either.

Ms. Rice, seated to Mr. Kerry’s right, seemed to struggle to keep open her eyes. But Mr. Kerry lost that fight outright. A camera captured him in what seemed to be full sleep mode, ABC News said.

An editor for Mashable took to Twitter to tell the news of the nap, alongside a link to the tweeted photograph evidence: “Secretary of State @JohnKerry taking a power nap in Warsaw (in his defense … long flight).”

Mr. Kerry responded to the tweet, saying it was “just a really long blink!”

Ms. Rice and Mr. Kerry were attending the president’s joint press conference with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski in Warsaw — a geographic spot that required an eight-hour flight with a six-hour time difference from D.C.
