Florida man dials 911 to report: My wife threw out my beer

A Florida man was arrested after authorities said he dialed 911 seven times — to report that his wife threw away his beer.

Carlos Bueno Mir, 49, was officially charged with misusing the 911 system and with making a false complaint, which he allegedly repeated seven times over the course of four hours, a local ABC affiliate reported.

West Palm Beach Police did respond to the initial call, only to find that Mr. Mir “appeared intoxicated,” authorities said. Mr. Mir said “that his wife had thrown out his beer,” ABC reported. Officers advised him not to call 911 unless he had a true emergency.

But he then called again and “began yelling that a female outside had broken into two of his beers,” said one emergency responder. Police, fed up, arrested and booked him.
