Facebook has added a new menu of emoticons to its lineup aimed at giving the LGBT crowd a nod: A “Pride” rainbow-colored swash of options to show that “love is universal,” the social-media site touted.

Coincidentally, Facebook’s 28 new options coincide with President Obama’s declaration of June as the official Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transsexual Pride Month, Breitbart reported.

Some of the new “Pride” features: A man dressed in leather, taking his leather-donned dog for a walk; a lesbian couple with their two children; a father hugging his gay son; and a football player standing alongside his boyfriend who’s holding a balloon, Breitbart reported.

A spokesman for the diversity program at Facebook said in a post: “We’re celebrating Pride by adding these Facebook Messenger stickers to the Sticker Store. We see this as one more way we can make Facebook a place where people can express their authentic identity. ’Happy Pride!’ “
