Liberal talk show host Bill Maher told viewers that he has some advice for presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, “just go away.”

“My Advice to Hillary: just go away,” Mr. Maher said during his show on Friday night. “Go away for a while. We’re gonna see each other in a couple of years. A lot. Just go away, because otherwise you’re gonna blow this.”

The comment came within the context of gaffes Ms. Clinton has made while promoting her book “Hard Choices.” She was criticized by pundits for saying she and Bill Clinton were “dead broke” after spending eight years in the White House.

MSNBC host Joy Reid of “The Reid Report” agreed with Mr. Maher and said that similar campaign gaffes cost Ms. Clinton the democratic nomination in the 2008 election, the Blaze reported Saturday.

“Day to day campaigning was really the downfall of the ’08 Hillary Clinton campaign,” Ms. Reid said. “They made so many mistakes and a lot of times they were verbal mistakes, they were things that either Bill Clinton said or she said that upset a lot of African Americans that really caused riffs and so I think the day to day slog is not really her friend.”
