Just in case the news isn’t providing enough talk about the former first family, the Clintons, now the theatrical world is picking up the theme — ceding one of the New York Musical Theatre Festival stages to “Clinton: The Musical” beginning next month.
The musical highlights two different “Bill Clinton”-type characters — “Billy,” played by Duke LaFoon, and W.J. Clinton, played by Karl Kenzler, the New York Post reported.
And Hillary Clinton will be represented by Alet Taylor.
Others cast include actors and actresses for Newt Gingrich, Monica Lewinsky and Eleanor Roosevelt.
The musical makers hail from Australia. They’re brothers, Paul and Michael Hodge, who share a philosophy that “politics is show business for ugly people,” the New York Post reported.
The musical, which received top honors at the UK Edinburgh Festival Fringe, is set to open at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre in the Pershing Square Signature Center on July 18, the New York Post reported.
