FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - A June 1 story from The Journal Gazette, which moved as an AP Member Exchange, reported that some cases of methamphetamine contamination can be resolved by painting and washing surfaces, depending on the severity of the case. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management advises that meth cleanup should be done by a professional and cautions that residents can put themselves at high risk of contamination if they try to wash or paint over meth-tainted surfaces.
