Facebook malfunctioned for a short time early Thursday morning, shutting out millions of users from Israel to the United Kingdom to India.

“We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can,” a statement on the social media site read, NBC News reported.

It didn’t take long for Twitter hashtags to trend: “#WhenFacebookWasDown.”

Facebook managed to get the site up and running for some spots around the world within an hour. Shortly after, the company sent out a quick statement of apology.

“We experienced an issue that prevented people from posting to Facebook for a brief period of time. We resolved the issue quickly and we are now back to 100 percent,” the company said, NBC News reported.
