Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said Sunday that former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has been the one playing politics with Benghazi.

Mrs. Clinton played a part in a White House “cover up” that associated an anti-Muslim video with the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, Mr. Priebus said on “Fox News Sunday.”

Mrs. Clinton writes in a chapter of her soon-to-be-released book that “those who exploit this tragedy over and over as a political tool minimize the sacrifice of those who served our country.”

But Mr. Priebus said there are still unanswered questions about the attack.

“Hillary Clinton is politics 24/7, and this is no different,” Mr. Priebus said.

Though she has not announced a 2016 run for president, Mrs. Clinton starts out as the presumed front-runner for the Democratic nomination. Should she run, her role in the U.S. response to the Benghazi attack it figures to play a significant part.

Mr. Priebus also assigned her an “F” grade as Secretary of State, and didn’t appear terribly impressed with her tenure in the U.S. Senate.

“Go to her Senate days - what’s there? I don’t know,” he said.
