TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - An alleged Florida pimp who prosecutors say recruited minors to his “dance team” has been sentenced to more than 33 years in prison for sex trafficking and other charges.

Michael Gallon, 49, also pleaded guilty to distributing child pornography under the plea deal and was sentenced in Tampa federal court Thursday.

Authorities say Gallon recruited adults and teens to join his so-called dance team and then hosted bachelor parties in Florida and throughout the southeast where they were forced to perform. Gallon also allegedly told the girls to perform sex acts at VIP rooms at the parties and kept most of the profits for himself.

Authorities have identified at least 12 underage victims.
