Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate, said Tuesday that it is time for Congress to impeach President Obama.
In a video posted on her Facebook page, Mrs. Palin said that Mr. Obama’s “unsecured border crisis” is the last straw and called on voters to demand that incumbent lawmakers and candidates support impeaching Mr. Obama.
“It makes kind of the battered wife say ’No mas,’” Mrs. Palin said, alluding to the recent surge of illegal immigrant children trying to cross the southern border. “That’s enough. Enough is enough. Without borders there is no nation. Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants has been deliberate and this is his fundamental transformation of America, and I think it is the only promise he has kept.”
Mrs. Palin said that Mr. Obama’s “dereliction of duty” is opening the door for an unlimited number of “illegal immigrants to kick off their shoes and come on in,” and to compete with American for jobs.
Mrs. Palin warned that if Congress does not act now Mr. Obama will try to fill federal courts with liberal judges before the end of his term.
“It is time to impeach,” she said. “We should vehemently oppose any politician and any candidate on the left or the right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.”

“The many impeachable offenses of Barack Obama can no longer be ignored,” she said, citing a list of 25 impeachable offenses. “If after this no one is impeachable, no one is.”
Sen. John McCain of Arizona plucked Mrs. Palin from obscurity when he tapped her as his running mate during the 2008 presidential campaign.
Since later quit her job as governor, but has retained rock star status among some grassroots conservatives.
